Simon Glascott

Simon was called to the bar in 2000.

Simon was admitted to practice in 1986. Prior to joining the Bar in 2000, he was an associate to Nader J in the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory, and in general litigation with Crichton Brownes. He was a Senior Associate at Phillips Fox practising in insurance litigation, and a director of, and volunteer solicitor with the Inner City Legal Centre conducting civil and tenancy litigation.

Simon appears in the District and Supreme Courts of NSW (both trial and appellate work) (including country circuits). He has appeared in numerous coronial inquests.

He also has appeared before the High Court of Australia in significant common law cases such as Swain v Waverley Municipal Council (2005) 220 CLR 517, Mulligan v Coffs Harbour City Council (2005) 223 CLR 486 and Batistatos v Roads and Traffic Authority (NSW) (2006) 226 CLR 256”.
